KERINICI SEBLAT NATIONAL PARK

Mount Kerinci is the highest volcano in Indonesia and the highest Indonesian peak outside Papua ( Carstensz ), it is surrounded by the lush forest of Kerinci Seblat National Park. Despite the location in Jambi province, an easier access to Mount Kerinci is from Padang, the capital city of West Sumatra province. The closest airport is Padang from where it is a 7 - 8 hours road journey to the nearest accommodation to the Kerinci trail, at Kersik Tua (1,519m). Rainy season in between October to April, while May to September is mainly dry with some occasional rains, the temperature up in the mountain occasionally may drop to 5°C at nights. Direct flights to Padang available daily from Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Batam, and Medan. After trekking Kerinci, you also can add 1 more day to visit Lake Gunung Tujuh – South East Asia’s highest crater lake, still surrounded by the pristine forest, a lost world hidden in the clouds.. detail package
